ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS YOUR CAREER wait I'm not a senior yet. Anyway, hello again!

It's been a while since I updated, so here's a couple of facts. Two weeks ago, I took my first AP exam ever; it was on European History. I had so much fun ;u; 80 multiple-choice questions and three essays in the space of 3.5 hours. After that, my mom picked me up and we drove straight to the airport to fly to my grandmother's and visit her for Mother's Day. It was pretty great! I hadn't seen my cousins in ages, and I've really missed them.
Now, about that swim meet I mentioned. It ended up being my first and last swim meet. I slipped and fell on the wet concrete after one of my events, injuring my knee. After a few weeks I was finally able to see the doctor to see why it hurt so much. It turns out that my patellae are congenitally tilted, making it harder for the bruised bone to heal, so for now I have to get PT and wear a knee brace. Haven't been able to really get any solid exercise in since then save for a few warm ups in the pool a week :/ Even then, it doesn't really get my heart rate up since any strenuous activity makes it painful. If I don't get something to do besides ride a stationary bike my whole body may as well melt into a puddle.
On Friday, my communication design class and I took the train to Union Station in LA, walked to Little Tokyo, and went to the MOCA and the Geffen Contemporary. At the MOCA, we saw Cai Guo-Qiang's explosive artwork, which was made using gunpowder, charcoal, and some charges set off to create unique patterns. I've never seen explosion art before, and it was actually quite beautiful! At the Geffen, there was an exhibit on postwar Abstract and Pop Art. I really enjoyed that as well, and afterward we got to split up and go grab lunch in Little Tokyo c: It was arguably the best field trip I've been on, save for Outdoor Science School.
I am really glad that this school year is almost over, but quite sad as well since it'll be the last time my brother will be here at school. He's going to college 2,770 miles away, and I really don't want to spend the 38 walking days it'd require to visit. Thank goodness for Skype and facebook video, right? Heh.
That's all for right now, ciao!
